Ben Seibel for Raymor Floor Lamp with Modern Vintage Table Lamp
Item Details
Fantastic vintage modern table and floor lamp pair. The floor lamp was purchased in 1956 from the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, and it was designed by Ben Seibel for Raymor (1951). The dark gold conical shade is made of perforated metal with a paper lining, and is adjustable for varying heights. The ‘post’ consists of two black tubular metal rods that join to a ‘V’ just before the base which is a black wrought iron, two inch high circle. The posts are situated on a ball joint that permits movement to any angle. The mid century table lamp features a metal tripod base which attaches to a flat round plate supporting the socket. The paper barrel shade attaches to the lamp beneath the socket.
Condition
The inside paper of the shade has come lose and there is a little bit of paint flaking on the “posts” of the floor lamp. Both lamps were in working condition when cataloged.
Dimensions
The listed measurement is for the floor lamp.
