1948 Studebaker Land Cruiser

Item Details

*A fantastic 1948 Studebaker Land Cruiser. This beauty was found in a barn in 2001 and purchased from its original owner. The car is a flat-head six cylinder motor with 27,000 actual miles. It is a six volt system, with a three speed manual transmission with overdrive. It has all original sheet metal and the interior seems to be original, from the mohair head liner to the seat covers. The doors open and close with ease, and the rear doors are the special ‘suicide option.’ Original owner’s manual is in the glove box; jack and spare tire in the trunk are also original.

  • EBTH does not warrant condition of automobiles. Condition stated is that of the owner. Please bring a mechanic to preview for personal assessment. Please also note that any item with a transferred title must be paid for via cash, cashier’s check or wire transfer. Lastly, the winning bidder is advised to check with their DMV / BMV to assure that all necessary paperwork, tags, title transfer, et cetera are complete before the car is removed from the premises.

Condition

Wear is consistent with age and use. This item is not shippable. The front seat upholstery is torn from dry rotting. The carpet has some small worn spots on the driver and passenger door panels, but overall is in good condition. The head liner is in great shape. All the gauges work. The clock does not work. All the door glass rolls up and down. There is no rust or rot evident on the vehicle. The only missing pieces are lower front fender chrome on both sides. The car runs and drives well. The brakes stop but pull a little when applied with force. The transmission shifts smoothly and tightly and the overdrive works perfectly.
