Saybolt Cleland Chippendale Style Dining Chairs
Item Details
A set of twelve Saybolt Cleland Chippendale style dining chairs. The set includes ten dining chairs with two armchairs. The chairs, in the ribbon back style, feature acanthus leaf adornment on the crest of the chairs. The legs are supported by box stretchers. The chairs are made of solid mahogany and are upholstered in a pale yellow brocade with raspberry red dots. These chairs were originally owned by Rexford Sydney Blazer from Ashland Oil. Ashland Oil was originally founded in Kentucky in 1924. Companion dining table listed as item 15CIN269-013.
