A lot of two matching architectonic copper engravings by German listed artist Salomon Kleiner (1700-1761). These magnificent pieces are
signed on plate S. Kleiner on lower left that are matted and framed under glass. The first is Area Et Templum Scotensium. The second is Societatus Iesu. These are presented behind fine mottled matting that appears very old and has a gilded framing to a gray and white. The frames are a medium stain with an gray and gilt hand painted details. Salomon Kleiner was a German draughtsman that found a passion and talent in copper engraving. This ‘old Master’ is known for his drawings of buildings in Vienna in the 18th century.
