Clark Company, 1911, Vol. I 372pp; 1912 Vol. II 412pp. Subtitled ‘As Described by Nicolas Perrot, French commander in the Northwest; Bacqueville de la Potherie, French royal commissioner to Canada; Morrell Marston, American army officer; and Thomas Forsyth, United States agent at Fort Armstrong.’ Bound in red cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Please read ‘condition details’. This is the original edition of 1912, limited to 1268 copies.
Condition
Volume I binding has completely separated from the text block. First several pages up to Preface, and last pages 356-372 are loose in book, and are in a fragile state, having chipped edges (may be ex-library). This volume is contained within a clamshell box that has title info etc. to spine. Volume II was professionally rebound and has pencil marks to flyleaf.
