Nokona Glove Tree/Rack

An unusual baseball item, a Nokona glove tree/rack, is highlighted in this lot. The item is made totally of wood. The main section is 4’w x 3’D piece of wood that holds 18 wood pegs in which the ends stick inside a drilled hole. The word ‘Nokona’ is burnt into the two 4’ wide sides at the top. The stand’s base is a wide base made of four pieces of wood that form a square hole; the tall middle section fits into the square hole and has been bolted into the base. The wood has been stained a reddish color; the prongs are a natural wood color, they have not been stained. Nokona is the only baseball/softball glove that is still made in the United States; located in Nocona, Texas.

Condition

- some wear; one of the pegs is broken
- the stand is very firm and steady
