A Lenox limited edition porcelain ‘Katerina’ doll and stand, part of the Children of Ellis Island Collection. Katerina was issued in 1993 as one of the official commemorative dolls, authorized by the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island Foundation to mark the 100th Anniversary of Ellis Island. The head, arms and legs are made of bisque hand-painted porcelain in a hand-tailored Russian dress with braided trim. Artist Pat Thompson has captured the eagerness and hope of the many people who came to share the American dream. This is a collectible doll, not a toy. Doll includes the blue Lenox trade mark on the neck.
