1798 Map Engraving "Amerique Septentrionale"
Item Details
An antique, hand-colored, engraved map Amerique Septentrionale, dated 1798. The map was created by late 18th century and early 19th century French map engraver Alexandre Blondeau. The map outlines the old territories of New Mexico, The United States, Canada, Quiviria (modern day Kansas), Assenipouels (native name of the Pidgeon River), and others. A certificate of authenticity on the back verifies the title and maker. Sturdily framed under glass in embossed, gold-painted wood with a white matte and a wire hanger on the back.
Condition
Light foxing and stains commensurate with age.
