1723 Rosa Americana Twopence Coin

A Rosa Americana twopence coin dated 1723. Issued between 1722-1724, these highly collectible Colonial coins featured the visage of King George I. Unpopular with colonists, the coins quickly fell out of circulation. The coin depicts the English king on one side and a crowned Tudor rose on the reverse.

Condition

The coin is significantly pockmarked and worn. The coin comes in a protective, plastic envelope. The envelope has several hand-written notes.

Measurements given for protective envelope. The coin measures approximately 1.25’’ in diameter.
