An original oil on canvas painting by listed Pennsylvania artist Arthur Byron Phillips (1927-2008). This work depicts a figure in profile with great use of chiaroscuro. Signed by the artist to the lower left. Titled Qui Etes-Vous? to the verso which translates from French to Who Are You? It is set in an ornate wood frame with a washed, chalky finish. This painting was purchased in Scranton, Pennsylvania circa 1949.
