An original oil painting on stretched canvas depicting the portrait of a 6 year old girl painted by famed female student of Frank Duveneck, well-listed Cincinnati artist, Frances Wiley Faig (1885-1955). A note attached to the verso identifies the child as Helen Daly. Helen wears a white blouse with blue scalloped trim to the collars edge. Her curly brown hair falls to her shoulders, with her large blue eyes gazing at the viewer. She is painted to a green backdrop, with the signature to the lower right-hand corner in a matching tone. Condition
-the paintings varnish has darkened with age. Some surface damage to the finish of frame.
