A vintage Illuminated ‘color in motion’ Weidemann beer sign, designed and manufactured by The Ohio Advertising Display Company of Cincinnati, Ohio. The Ohio Advertising Display Company, ’America’s largest manufacturer of interior signs’, was granted Patent 2,272,947 on February 10, 1942 for a animated pictorial display. Sign front reads ’Weidemann’s Fine Beer, It’s Registered’. Synchron motor spins a disk inside that creates a spinning motion light. Features a round, fluorescent bulb controlled by a ballast and starter. Housed in a metal case with glass front. Worked when tested.
