Green Glass Vintage Italian Hookah Smoking Pipe

A vintage M.P.B Brebbia Green glass Italian Hookah smoking pipe. Handcrafted by the famed Brebbia family of Italian pipe makers. The base is 7.5’ H x 5’ diameter and is hand decorated with white and gilt florals. The neck is wood with original twisted cords and beads. The bowl is a bisque porcelain with a glossy glaze and gilt accents. There are four original hoses with black plastic mouthpieces and a spare undecorated Terra cotta smoking bowl. This does not appear to have been used. Brebbia is the fine Italian Pipe Manufacturer with a fine history and very famous roots. In 1947 they started producing pipes under the Savinelli name for the famous Savinelli Shop in Milan, Italy. They succeeded in creating high quality pipes until 1953, when the pair split that started the business and went their separate paths. Enea, from the success of Savinelli pipes, created his own pipe company called MPB (Manifatture Pipe Brebbia) which is still stamped on select pieces today. In 1968 the MPB logo was replaced by the current Brebbia logo. This company still creates high quality and affordable smoking pipes in a vast array of shapes.
Condition
no chips or cracks. Gilt accents are in very good condition. The four hoses do not look used.
