A Rochester Optical long focus Premo folding plate camera, circa 1895-1904. 4′ × 5′ plate size. The extra large triple extension bellows allowed the use of a very long focus lens, which was useful for copying. This beautiful antique camera is made of mahogany with dovetail joints. Features polished, lacquered brass hardware, red leather bellows, auto shutter, leather carry strap, double spirit level, spring actuated ground glass screen, double swing back, rising and sliding front, and reversible back. The piece originally had Moroccan grain cow hide covering the wood exterior. This is a great item for the camera collector, or for those who can appreciate these cameras for their artful good looks. Item is untested.
