Wow! A fabulous collection of 1953 ephemera from both the Ile De France and Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth ocean liners. The collection includes; lists of passengers, match books, baggage tickets, postcards, even a wine list and an embroidered sash. All have fantastic vintage graphics. Interestingly, the Ile De France was the first transatlantic ocean liner to be built after WWI and was entirely decorated in Art Deco fashion. the included brochure for the ship says it all! Also included are vintage postcards, menus and maps. A fascinating collection.
