Signed Sascha Brastoff Chalk Pastel Drawing on Paper
Item Details
An original chalk pastel drawing on paper by Sascha Brastoff (1918-93). Signed to the lower right corner. Drawing depicts a stylized rooster with plumes of teal, orange, red and yellow looking up at the sun with flowers at its feet. Presented in a green mat and black frame. Brastoff attended Western Reserve School of Art in Cleveland, and later opened a ceramic factory in Los Angeles in the 1950s. He is best known for his ceramic works, but created pieces in a variety of media throughout his artistic career.
