1887 McLoughlin Bros. "Dissected Map of the United States"

An early United States map puzzle produced by McLoughlin Bros. in its original box. McLoughlin Bros. was the most successful and well known game of the period. Complete with all pieces present. The Dakotas as one territory and Oklahoma listed as the Indian Territory. Double sided puzzle printed to heavy thick cardboard with colorized states to the front and geographical highlights from around the world in black and white to the back. Box is wood with lithograph details to top that features Columbia and a Native American, and the bottom.
Condition
- box is well worn with rubbed edges. A few stains present to the colored map side with the “pan-handle” missing to Oklahoma/Indian Territory puzzle piece.
