19th Century French Sevres Porcelain and Ormolu Centerpiece Bowl
Item Details
A rare 19th century French Sevres porcelain and ormolu centerpiece bowl. This centerpiece features a round shallow porcelain bowl hand-painted with an image of a young couple and signed by artist. The border is decorated with polychrome flowers in reserves on a yellow background decorated with gold. The bronze gilt stand is decorated with rich curving handles, and leaves and roses resting on three legs. The bowl is signed Sevres (two blue double L’s), and dated 1841 (S.41).
Condition
Consistent with age and use. There is a small crack in plate rim.
