1936 Sensational New Erector Set-No 7 1/2 Engineer's Set

A 1936 ‘Sensational New Erector Set no 7 1/2 Engineers set’. This nostalgic building set comes in the original steel case with the original paper label on the outside. On the inside of the hinged lid is the large paper label showing two possible items that can be built. This set includes the reversing electrical engine, boiler parts, tin litho wheel house, four long base sections, shorter base sections, beams, wheels, axle and crank, brackets, wood ramp, springs , gears, pulleys and original red tin to bolts nuts and washers. The erector set is made by the A.C. Gilbert Company. New Haven , Connecticut, USA. This was developed at the Gilbert Hall of Science.

Condition

for use and age. The outside of the case has scratches and minor spots of missing paint as doe the inside. The motor powers up when plugged in. The locks work appropriately on the case.
