A circa 1900 German one liter beer stein produced by Josef M. Mayer of Munich. The ceramic stein features a moulded band to center with landmarks marked ‘Frauen Thuerme’, ‘Bavaria Ruhmes Halle’ and a child to the center titled ‘Grussaus München’. The band is framed by several moulded decorative motifs. The pewter hinged lid features a decorative moulded finial and the double towers of Frauen Theurme. Marked to base.
