Vintage Regulator Wall Clock

A vintage Regulator wall clock with a beautifully carved wood case. Floral carvings surround the cream tone round face with brass rimmed door and rectangular case. ‘Regulator’ and ‘A’ are printed on the lower case door, and include a shaped brass pendulum. This clock rings on the hour and half hour and is thought to be cherry. Invented in the late 18th century for better timekeeping accuracy, a regulator clock is weight driven with a deadbeat escapement. It has been tested and is in good working condition.

Condition

Latch on face door is missing. Clock is in good working condition.
