Antique Steinkamp Sewing Machine in Oak Table

Item Details

An early 20th century antique Steinkamp treadle-powered sewing machine in an oak table. The machine folds away beneath a hinged panel in the tabletop, with a metal wire automatically raising or lowering it into place as the lid is opened or closed. The machine is powered by a foot treadle in the cast iron base, and is decorated with gold-tone and red floral and geometric designs. The machine was not in working condition at the time of cataloging.

Condition

- minor chips and cracks to the veneer of the table, some discoloration (darkening) to the wood.
