A stately mahogany George III English bureau, circa 1770. This stunning piece sits on bracketed feet. The fall front opens to reveal six fitted drawers, pigeonholes, and a writing surface lined in green leather with a gold tone embossed border. Below, there are three drawers with brass bat wing pulls. The fall front and drawers all have locks, but only the fall front includes a key. The distressed, textured wood and markings from age and use add to the overall character of the piece. Purchased by previous owner at Pendragon Antiques in Lebanon, OH.

Condition

Scratches, nicks, and chipping in the wood, and on the writing surface. Wear consistent with old age and use.
