An original Impressionist style landscape oil painting on canvas is titled, Summer Breeze by award wining Cincinnati artist Karen Rolfes. Bright and vibrant hues executed with both brush and pallet depict a grove of trees and textural flora and foliage. This lovely painting is framed in a thick gilded wood frame and is signed by the artist in the lower left quadrant. Rolfes is a Cincinnati native, and her gallery is located there as well. Her unique adaptation of the palette knife and brush technique was influenced by French artist, Pierre Bittar. Karen’s work can be found in both private and public collections throughout the United States. Her most recent honor is the 2014 Art Comes Alive (ACA) Landscape Artist of the Year.
