Patrick Henry Signed Land Grant

A Patrick Henry (1736-1799) signed Land Grant made out to Hezekiah Davidson for 5000 acres dated June 23, 1786, ink on vellum. Patrick Henry was the first governor of Virginia after the colonies declared their independence. He served again as Virginia’s 6th Governor from 1784-1786. A famous statesman, he is well-known for the statement, ‘Give me liberty or give me death.’
