Narrative of a Captivity and Adventures in France and Flanders: Between The Years MDCCCIII and MDCCCIX, by Edward Boys printed for J.F. Dove, London 1831. The first page opposite the title page is a foldout map illustrating the Citadel of Valenciennes and there are several engravings throughout. The book has marbled boards with leather at the spine and corners. The plate affixed to the inside cover indicates the antique book had belonged to James Jen Eyck.

Condition

Several pages have minor water stains. One illustrated page between 120 and 121 that is loose otherwise the binding is tight.
