A Baldwin baby grand piano with ebonized finish, serial #232939, manufactured in 1979. This 5’-2’ piano is a Model ‘M’ Artist Series, is marked ‘Grand Prix Paris-1900, Grand Prize St. Louis-1904’ and includes brass pedals and casters. The bench seat is designed with coordinating brass feet, and the beveled hinged lid opens for interior music storage. When Baldwin exhibited at the International Exposition at Paris in 1900, Baldwin was awarded the highest honor, The Grand Prix Award, never before bestowed on any piano made in America. Piano is working, however may need to be tuned.
