A walnut dining table by Arthur Brett & Sons, Ltd. and ten chairs. This two pedestal and one leaf dining table is designed with a reeded edge, and includes a reeded pedestal with metal claw feet and casters. The table opening mechanism slides smoothly and the table casters roll easily. The ten chairs include eight side chairs and two armchairs, all designed in a classic Queen Anne style with carved scroll volutes flanking a shell design on the crest rail, and flat splat back. Each leg is accented with shell pendant carvings and ball and claw feet, while the chair is finished with a yellow and coral stripped upholstered seat cushion. Arthur Brett & Sons is a designer and manufacturer of classic furniture, and since 1860 is exclusively made in a Norwich, England workshop. Chairs were purchased separately from the table.
Condition
One chair is wobbly and needs to be tightened. Surface of table in great condition. Small light stains on seat of two chairs.
