Original Ray Loos

An original watercolor landscape painting on paper by modern artist Ray Loos (Cincinnati, Ohio, 1919-1996). This beautifully rendered Mid Century Modern landscape depicts reflections of elongated trees in a wide body of water, as the orange sun floats in the sky. Loos’s signature is in orange paint to the lower left-hand side. Presented behind white mat, protected under glass, in a wide wooden frame with linen mat to the interior.

Ray Loos studied at the Central Academy of Commercial Art in Cincinnati, was a member and past president of the Cincinnati Art Club, and an honorary life member of the Central Ohio Watercolor Society. Mr. Loos operated Loos Commercial Art Studio in downtown Cincinnati.
