Rare Historical Cincinnati Land Ledger Books c.1780’s-1840’s
Item Details
An exciting and rare historical find, two early Cincinnati land ledger record books with entrys dating back to 1788 through the 1860’s. The 10”x14” ledger books have similar leather-bound covers with raised bound spines titled ‘Abstracts of Title’ and “Records” The books are filled with land title and estate transaction entries for many of our cities founders as well as projected land contracts such as the original petition for the great Miami Purchase and street maps depicting future monuments. An authentic validation to some of the early historical land transfers of the society that paved the streets and communities we call hometown Cincinnati.
