1930s Football Coin Operated Skill Game
Item Details
A 1930s era football coin operated game called, ‘Kicker and Catcher’. The game tests your skill of eye and hand coordination; your right hand turns the right knob that brings back the leg of the kicker, it kicks a metal ball that goes up and trickles down around the pegs, while the left hand turns the left knob so that the catcher slides back and forth. The game’s last patent date in May of 1933. There are five metal balls. Inside the works the words, ‘Baker CC 100’ is embossed, it appears that this machine was made by the Baker Novelty Company, located in Chicago, Illinois. ‘Test Your Skill For Amusement Only 1 (symbol for cent)’ is painted on a silver backdrop in red, yellow and black. The game was working at the time it was cataloged. The keys are present.
