Mid to Late 1800s Antique Washstand

An antique washstand that dates from the mid to late 1800s, with a circular cut out for a washbowl and a back gallery to prevent splashing. The gallery is constructed with stop dovetail joinery. This washstand has a lower drawer with wooden pull knob that is constructed with stop dovetail joinery. The legs are incised. This would be a great way to display a special wash basin and pitcher. This piece has a warm finish that has developed with age.

Condition

The bottom shelf has a crack all the way across. There are cracks around the sides of the basin hole, and some loss of finish and scratches, see photos.
