Bendix Hidden Radio End Table
Item Details
An interesting and distinctive piece, this is a Bendix ‘Phantom Dial’ radio which is disguised to look like a drop-leaf end table. When plugged in, the top drawer is backlit, revealing that it is only a translucent faux-wood finish over glass, displaying the tuner dial. The knobs which at first appeared to be drawer knobs are actually tuner dials. The piece is in mahogany veneer, and was in working condition at the time of cataloging.
Condition
- working condition, some cosmetic damage including to the faux-wood finish to the top “drawer”, and the top right knob is loose.
