"The American" by Magnavox Stereo Console

Item Details

A record player and radio console by Magnavox, called ‘The American.’ This handsome console, circa 1950s, sits in a dark, mahogany colored cabinet with beveled panel doors with batwing plate and bail pulls. The top of the cabinet has a hinged panel that opens to reveal the record turntable. The doors open to reveal storage space and the control panel, including the AM/FM radio tuner. The console includes the original owner’s manual.

Condition

The stereo powered on when tested and played AM radio stations. The turntable spins when powered on, but lacks a needle.
