A revolutionary book of concrete poetry, by the well listed, avante garde artist Jiri Kolar (Czech Republic, 1914-2002), titled ‘Signboard for Gersaint’ the artist has utilized the letters comprising a given modern artist’s name, in a concrete form, as both poetry and image. Published in 1966 in Prague. The piece was purchased directly from the artist by well known Yale research psychologist and Professor Emeritus of the University of California, Berkeley, Irving L. Janis (1918-1990), and includes the original mailer.
