Vintage Sabar drum.
Item Details
Vintage Sabar drum hand-carved from hard wood with rawhide top, wooden ‘spokes’ in the round and braided organic rope accent. Used to communicate between villages, the Sabar drum is a traditional drum from the West African nation of Senegal. It is also played in the Gambia and is played by using one hand and one stick.
Condition
There is a chip to the bottom, one wooden spoke is missing, wear to the rawhide drum head consistent with age.
