A Hitchcock-style black painted Windsor rocker from Nichols & Stone of Gardner, Mass. The chair has a curved back rail beautifully painted with stenciled fruits and leaves in gold, and is designed with slender curved rails, a rounded seat with painted border, and turned legs with gold-accented details. The chair is marked to the verso.
