Jack Meanwell Original Floral Paintings on Paper

Item Details

A lovely collection of three original Jack Meanwell watercolor and gouache paintings on paper depicting vivid floral scenes. An expressive bouquet of yellow roses in a green vase, unsigned. A tulip garden in pinks, purples, and yellows signed in green paint to the lower right-hand corner, 1977. A whimsical depiction of red lotus flowers on lily pads signed in green paint to the lower right hand-side, 1978. These beautiful works of art come to you unframed and await your choice of presentation.

An instructor at the Art Academy of Cincinnati for over 25 years, Meanwell holds a special place among collected Cincinnati painters and is certainly comparable in many respects to Paul Chidlaw. The pair had their works exhibited together in 2010 at the Mary Ran Gallery, in an exhibit called “Paul Chidlaw and Jack Meanwell-Battle of the Abstract Expressionists.”
