A Peruvian folk art retablo (diorama) depicting a two tiered nativity scene. The pedimented box has a pair of doors with leather hinges. The box and doors have hand painted decoration on all sides except for the back and bottom which are white. Inside are hand molded and painted figures with intricate details portraying the nativity.
