A collection of vintage ephemera including the June 1944 Better Homes and Gardens. The cover depicts a contented woman in her garden and issue features summer recipes and summer gardening tips. Also included is a large collection of Louisville newspapers from the 1970s-1980s. Included in this historic glimpse are newspapers with headlines ranging from the 1978 Kentucky Derby to the 1980 failed rescue during the Iranian Hostage Crisis, to the eruption of Mount St. Helens, to 1984 assassination of Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Also included are a number of newspapers focusing on political debates and sporting events.

Condition

Better Homes and Gardens is in good condition with a few bent pages and corners. Some of the newspapers have sustained light water damage but are generally in good condition with some bent corners and creases.
