A signed and numbered Mid-Century serigraph by Cincinnati artist John Nartker (1930-1998). The image illustrates a cluster of roof top with the high horizon line with a full moon is behind a row of stylized trees. The image is done in a subtle palette of metallic gold, yellow and burnt orange, matted and presented under glass in a thin appropriate frame. The serigraph is titled Hillside Houses and is numbered 27/27. The artist’s signature can be found in the lower right corner and he has personalized the piece in the lower margin as well.
John Nartker was not only an innovative artist but a beloved professor at the College of Mt. St. Joseph. His award winning work work was included in over 200 exhibitions and can be found in several major collections.
Condition
The serigraph is in good condition as is the mat and frame.
