Vintage Vanity Fair Hand-Tinted Caricature Lithograph
Item Details
An antique hand-tinted Vanity Fair lithograph issued October 9th, 1869. This unique print features a caricature of Leopold II of Belgium carrying large sacks of money and important government documents. Text at the bottom of the page reads ‘Sovereigns, NO. 3. ’Un roi constitutionnel.’’ The caricature was illustrated by ‘Coide’ or James Jacques Tissot, his signature is located in plate to the lower right side of the image. The print is set behind a white mat, protected under glass, in a beveled wood frame.

- to good. Discoloration to edges of print from previous mat.
