Don Polland's "Monday Morning Wash" Pewter Sculpture Chilmark
Item Details
A1975 fine pewter sculpture by Los Angeles born Western and Wildlife artist Don Polland (1932-2003), entitled _Monday Morning Wash. Impressions meant a lot in the West where loneliness was not uncommon. this cowboy, in his anxiety to attract the lady’s eye, just didn’t stop in time……and sent her wash sprawling and, probably, her anger flying. We like to think our fast-riding showoff helped put things in order, and perhaps made a new friend in the bargin _. This piece is a 1975 Fully Subscribed Limited Edition and is numbered 1476/2500, with an issue amount of 2094 and fully subscribed in 1986. The craftsmanship of this piece is remarkable and detail stunning. It sets atop a solid wood base and bears all appropriate markings. Also included is the Certificate of Registration. A wonderful collector’s piece.
