Vintage Hollinshead & Kirkham Wash Basin and Pitcher
Item Details
A vintage wash basin and pitcher, made in England by Hollinshead & Kirkham. The usage of the unicorn symbol in their logo reflects Hollinshead & Kirkham’s residence at the important Unicorn Pottery in Tunstall, England from 1890-1956. The bottom of the pieces are marked ‘H & K Tunstall’. The pieces are glazed and feature a transfer pattern applied over the glaze. The pitcher has a circle of felt attached to the bottom.
Condition
The glaze on the basin is crazed and the design is worn.
