An original oil and collage on canvas by mid-century modernist artist Cedric Chang, (American, 20th Century), titled ‘Split’ , dated July 1969. This is a wonderful modernist mixed media presentation of oil and collage, with some etching into the oil, muted colored tones of rough surface in geometric shapes, in mostly a white/yellow and monochromatic tone, and newspaper collage. This piece is signed by artist to upper right corner as shown ‘Cedric Chang 1969’, and also artist signature and handwritten information to back as shown – ‘Split’, ‘Cedric Chang, July 1969, Yugoslavia’. Framed in a brushed silver-tone frame.
