An Original Hand Colored Etching By Paul E. Lecomte (1877-1950)

A 19/20th century hand colored etching on paper, numbered and signed by the artist Paul Emile Lecomte (French 1877-1950). The large etching shows working fishing boats in a water landscape with the shore framing the composition at the right. The etching is signed by the artist in the right corner and is titled and numbered 56/300 in the lower left. An old label affixed to the back reads ’ original etching, each proof hand painted on copper plates’. The etching is finished under glass in a wonderful gold frame of the period. Paul Emile Lecomte attended the L’Ecole Des Beaux Arts and exhibited at the Salon in Paris receiving much praise and coveted awards.
Condition
The etching is in good condition as is the frame. The original mat has discolored.
