Item Details
An original nail painting on canvas by listed Santa Fe artist John H. Diehl. The painting is entitled Composicion and was finished on December 1, 1969. The artist wraps plywood with canvas and painstakingly hammers nails of different sizes into the canvas at different heights and angles to establish variations in tone and depth. The painting appears to be filled with floral elements, but is beautiful without discussion of what it might be. The painting is framed in a thick wooden frame with beautiful stain.
