Vintage Henriot Quimper Yellow Soleil Breton Peasant Earthenware

A selection of Henriot Quimper earthenware pottery plates, in the classic yellow Soleil color featuring Breton peasant decoration, the larger plates having scalloped edges. These are marked in blue to underside ‘Henriot Quimper, France’. The large dinner plates have a number 2 incised to bottom. Includes six 11.25’ dinner plates (five have wires for hanging), two featuring women and four featuring men; three 8’ luncheon plates, two featuring men, one featuring a woman; seven plates almost 7’ in diameter, four men and three women; four round 5.75’ saucers floral decoration only; and two tea/coffee cups, both featuring women.
Condition
This earthenware is made from a reddish clay, and has some irregularities to the glaze. One of the cups has a chip on underside base along with a fleabite to rim.
