A vintage oak coffee table from the Viking Oak collection by Romweber, with decorative peaked molding to sides, tapered trestle legs with stretcher, and original flat head screws. Romweber of Batesville, Indiana, was created from a previous merger of three companies that began in 1879, The Batesville Cabinet Company, The American Furniture Company, and The Batesville Coffin Company. The company’s Viking Oak collection was the furniture industry’s longest continually produced furniture line, being produced from the 1930s to the 1980s. The collection was inspired by Scandinavian folk art, and features well built, high end craftsmanship.
