Late Victorian Era Eastlake Style Glider Rocking Chair

Item Details

A late Victorian Eastlake style glider rocking chair, made of walnut, that dates to circa late 1880s to the early 1900s, with traditional Eastlake incised lines, pierced diamond motif to the crest rail, and upholstered seat and back with gimp trim. Glider rocking chairs offer movement, while the base remains stationary, thus solving the age old age of having one’s rocking chair creep across the floor while using it. Ours sits on caster wheels, which allows it to be easily moved from place to place.
